January 12, 2015

Tallan, Inc. recently announced its support for the Microsoft Cloud for Government, showcasing its work to build advanced legislative workflow systems as well as custom SharePoint, CRM, and disaster recovery solutions in the cloud.

As one of the earliest adopters of Microsoft’s Cloud for Government, Tallan has advanced expertise in the area of cloud solutions specific to government agencies and departments. This latest offering from Microsoft now allows Tallan to build and run key systems in the cloud with full functionality and proven security, saving government clients both time and costs associated with infrastructure upkeep and overhead.

“Tallan is proud to provide our existing systems and applications for government entities on Microsoft’s One Government Cloud, an environment certified and tested for Government grade security, meeting both CJIS and FedRAMP standards. This exciting option now allows us to provide clients with the flexibility, cost savings, and anytime, anywhere access of a cloud-based solution while continuing to deliver on our promise of creating innovative, and secure, systems that promote access, transparency, and collaboration between governments and their constituents.”

Microsoft recently held its One Government Cloud Summit in Washington, D.C., where Federal, State & Local Governments gathered as Microsoft announced the general availability of Microsoft Azure Government and the January availability of Dynamics CRM Online Government (Dynamics CRMOL G). Both products are critical elements of Microsoft’s complete cloud offering for government. Attendees also heard Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella share his vision for the industry and discuss how government organizations can thrive in the mobile-first, cloud-first world.

“We are seeing tremendous uptake and enthusiasm from our partner community around the promise and potential for the Microsoft Cloud for Government,” said Vince Menzione, General Manager of Microsoft’s U.S. Public Sector Partner business. “Partners have committed to building on the Microsoft Cloud for Government, from public safety-focused partners who need specific CJIS support for managing drastic increases in storage to large system integrators developing hybrid solutions to more seamlessly help government agencies move to the cloud.”

With the Microsoft Cloud for Government, small, media and large sized governments all get the most complete, comprehensive and flexible solutions, spanning infrastructure, data, productivity, and business applications.
