Tallan, Inc., a leading professional services firm with over 28 years of custom application development and systems integration experience, announced a new partnership with WPC, a healthcare technology and business process consulting firm and provider of critical HIPAA implementation publications and products.
Under the new partnership, Tallan will leverage the 5010 Data Definition Language (DDL) Schemas from WPC’s HIPAA Database Toolkit in support of its T-Connect HIPAA Accelerator product. In addition, Tallan will become one of WPC’s primary BizTalk professional services partners as they onboard new clients.
“This partnership will allow more healthcare companies to capture the administrative and financial data needed for analytics, reporting and accountable care,” said Kent Chadwick, WPC Product Manager. “Tallan will help WPC deliver its EDI technology to a broader customer base.”
Tallan’s BizTalk Practice Director Stanford Kennedy continued, “Using WPC’s HIPAA Database Toolkit products, we can help our healthcare clients quickly integrate their existing systems, while improving efficiency and reducing cost. With WPC’s technology, both Tallan and our clients can realize faster onboarding times and a more efficient product using proven, pre-built solutions.”
WPC’s HIPAA Database Toolkit and its DDL schemas are used for a variety of jobs, including: creating and managing a complete administrative repository of all HIPAA transactions; loading an enterprise data warehouse with real-time financial transactions; running ad hoc reports; and presenting original EDI claim data to remittance processors.
WPC’s HIPAA Database Toolkit DDL schemas deliver many advantages to Tallan, providing the ability to insert HIPAA EDI message data into a SQL Server database. The DDL schemas include a data model for the X12 transaction database repository and software for creating the database. The Database Toolkit works with BizTalk Server 2006, 2009, 2010, and 2013, providing Tallan the flexibility to work with many versions of BizTalk. It also supports both the X12N 4010 and X12 5010 HIPAA-mandated transactions.
Tallan’s Healthcare Integration Solutions, using BizTalk Server, integrate legacy systems and take advantage of existing IT investments, dramatically improving efficiency, standardizing existing applications and allowing for the flexibility necessary to keep up with changing needs within the healthcare industry.
As a part of its healthcare integration offerings, Tallan’s T-Connect HIPAA Accelerator product, utilizing WPC’s HIPAA EDI toolkit, provides many benefits to healthcare companies, including:
