“We needed the right partner to help us transform our vision into reality. We chose Tallan because they provided the technical expertise and the strong project management we were looking for.”

- Catherine Clancy, Senior Vice President
Hudson Center for Health Equity & Quality

The state of New York and Hudson Center for Health Equity & Quality, an independent not-for-profit organization, were using a paper-based system to handle new enrollments for their low cost Medicaid, Family Health Plus and Child Health Plus programs.  This was a slow process, highly prone to error, that added unnecessary staff burden and caused unnecessary coverage delays.

01 Vision

Tallan worked with the business and IT users of Hudson Center for Health Equity & Quality to develop an electronic enrollment system that dramatically increased the speed and reduced the inaccuracies of their processing system. The Facilitated Enrollment Electronic Application (FEEA™) and related technologies, developed in compliance with New York State regulations, now provides high-speed processing and eliminates their previous paper enrollment process.

Tallan’s software development team also built, a consumer-facing Web site that helps people living in New York State learn about public health care programs, determine if they are eligible for a program, start the pre-application process online, then submit the pre-application to a Facilitated Enroller to complete the application.
