Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. 1. 1. Be a thought leader and organization change agent who can drive a technology step change by enabling business while simplifying the data environment and improving speed of delivery.
      2. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
      3. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
      4. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the systems design.
      5. Executes on Azure based data architecture plans in collaboration with data owners, solution architects & technology leads.
      6. Provides technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to technical team.
      7. Enables a high performing team that has a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and is focused on business outcomes.
      8. Participate in client facing sales and marketing activities, which may include presenting at seminars focused on using technology to address business challenges, or meeting with a client team for an on-site architecture design session as the precursor to a potential engagement.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum qualifications for this job include:

1. 1. 10+ years of professional work experience.
   2. 5+ years of experience with Windows Azure.
   3. 5+ years of experience with WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, networking.
   4. 5+ years of IaaS experience
   5. 5+ years of SQL experience
   6. 5+ years ETL experience
   7. Experience with the latest Azure Data technologies, including but not limited to:
      • Azure SQL Database
      • Azure Data Lake
      • Azure Data Factory
      • Databricks
