With Microsoft’s Defender for Cloud, businesses stay protected against ever-evolving threats in both multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Utilizing Microsoft’s industry leading security insight, users can safeguard crucial workloads spanning VMs, containers, databases, app services, and more.
Tallan has helped our clients utilize various tools to simplify and automate security management. With Defender for Cloud, all your Azure, on-premises, and multi-cloud resources are protected with Microsoft-powered Cloud Security Posture Management. What is Security Posture? Essentially, this principle evaluates existing resources and subscriptions for issues. It then displays posture via Secure Score, an aggregated score of security findings that provides a quick snapshot of your current environment. The higher the secure score, the lower the identified risk level!
Tallan’s Defender for Cloud engagement improves the security posture of your cloud resources and safeguards workloads operating on Azure, hybrid, and other cloud platforms with built-in Microsoft Defender plans.
Getting Started
Defender for Cloud works by first generating the Secure Score for your subscriptions based on an evaluation of your connected resources. This aids in examining compliance with a built-in Azure benchmark, using a compliance dashboard and the aforementioned score to better understand your organization’s security health. After you’ve enabled the enhanced capabilities, you may add additional rules or organization-specific security needs to the standards used to evaluate compliance.

Defender for Cloud is an Azure-native service. This means it can monitor and secure various Azure services without any deployment, while still being able to add resources that are located on-premises or in other public clouds. If necessary, Defender for Cloud can deploy a Log Analytics agent automatically. Additionally, Azure Arc enables Microsoft Defender plans to be extended to non-Azure devices in hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios.
Ultimately, Microsoft Defender for Cloud continuously evaluates your organization’s security posture, allowing you to keep track of emerging opportunities and accurately analyze the results of your security activities. It also safeguards your workloads by taking step-by-step measures to shield them from known security dangers. Best of all, Defender for Cloud protects your team’s workloads in real-time, allowing you to respond quickly and stop security events in their tracks.
