The DP-203 Exam: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure, is designed to help cloud experts become Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associates. The exam assesses one’s ability to build and implement data solutions on Azure to help achieve a high-level, more all encompassing understanding of Azure’s data platforms. Candidates gain more knowledge of Azure role-based certifications, increase professional credibility, and work toward mastering how to use these data solutions within real-world situations. Certified Azure Data Engineers use a variety of tools to assist stakeholders in interpreting data and managing secure data processing pipelines. The DP-203 exam assesses a candidate’s understanding of topics that include:
– Monitoring and optimizing data storage
– Planning and developing data processing
– Designing and implementing data storage
– Designing and implementing data security
This exam requires a strong understanding of data processing languages such as SQL and Python, as well as parallel processing and data architecture patterns. Before taking the course, candidates do need a free Azure account. They also should be familiar with platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics and Data Lake Storage. It is highly recommended that candidates have fundamental knowledge on relational/nonrelational data models as well.
