In today’s fast paced and highly competitive IT environment, organizations need to provide streamlined, highly efficient and interconnected systems not only inside their organizations but also between businesses in order to stay ahead of their competition. The connected systems practice at Tallan recognizes that communication between applications and businesses is what keeps an organization thriving. At Tallan, we believe that an organization needs a holistic approach to how it uses and applies technologies across a wide spectrum.
This holistic approach combines the latest in technology with the brightest talent in the industry. Our approach is unique in the way we think about Enterprise Solutions. We use technologies and toolsets such as BizTalk Server, Enterprise Service Bus, SOA, and Hosted Solutions on the Cloud (via Windows Azure App Fabric) to build a strong framework that can help an organization expand, keep your organization’s processes loosely coupled, and control your flow of data in a Business to Business (B2B) or Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solution.
Our industry-leading team of Connected Systems experts is comprised of architects and consultants holding numerous certifications, including Microsoft BizTalk Server. Tallan also participates in the Microsoft Virtual Technology Solutions Professional (V-TSP) program. This program provides Tallan with Microsoft corporate access, product group affiliation, and faster escalation paths.
BizTalk Server 2010
Tallan’s Connected Systems team:
- Uses Microsoft BizTalk Server as the primary integration solution. BizTalk Server operates as the EAI/ESB solution as well as providing B2B messaging. In addition to integrating solutions, BizTalk provides reliable messaging, recoverable interchanges, EDI connectivity, process monitoring, and RFID. Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) provides out-of-the-box insight into your organization’s processes.
- Has a Virtual Technology Solutions Professional (V-TSP) on staff that works closely with Microsoft’s integration team, which is is readily available to meet and explore your BizTalk needs.
- Has extensive BizTalk experience, including new installations, EAI, ESB, B2B, POC applications, version upgrades, ESB guidance, performance analysis, custom adapters and pipelines, and 3rd party adapters.
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
SOA integrates disparate processes, reducing risk and increasing the responsiveness of your system.
In addition to helping you design a strategy and approach to address your information management needs, Tallan also offers workshops and Fast Tracked Engagements that are an ideal way to start making sense of SOA.
These workshops are a 3-5 day session, while the Fast Track Engagement is an extensive engagement spanning 3 weeks in duration. Both sessions include:
- Mentoring
- Whiteboard Sessions
- Readiness Assessments
Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
WCF is a message-based platform that provides a framework for service-oriented applications. It provides a WSDL-based interaction while supporting multiple bindings such as SOAP over TCP, HTTP, and MSMQ.
A client application needs only the contract to interact with that endpoint over SOAP.
WCF adapters are available in BizTalk server.
EDI and HL7 Accelerators
Electronic Document Interchange (EDI) is the technology standard for processing information in a B2B application. B2B commerce uses EDI for nearly 90% of the current data exchange within the B2B market. BizTalk provides out-of-the-box EDI schemas to quickly ramp up loosely coupled B2B integrations.
Health Level Seven (HL7) provides a global authority on standards for interoperability of healthcare applications. BizTalk provides HL7 accelerators and schemas, and plays a valuable role in healthcare information management.
ESB Toolkit 2.1 Guidance
The BizTalk Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Toolkit 2.1 is a set of libraries that support dynamic messaging and loosely-coupled architectures.
It provides a layer between the Web services and consuming applications, and simplifies loosely coupled composition of services.
ESB Toolkit includes:
- Dynamic routing
- Centralized exception handling
- Endpoint run-time auto discovery
- Dynamic message translation and transformation
- Quality of service
- Protocol transformation
- Extensibility
Windows Server/Azure AppFabric
Tallan embraces Microsoft’s vision in Windows Server AppFabric and Windows Azure AppFabric (cloud).
BizTalk and Azure AppFabric supportB2B transactions using standard WCF protocols over SOAP. Web servers are not needed to consume or receive client application messaging.
Azure also offers Caching, Security, Integration, and Service Bus services. |
